OUR STORY
Stitched Together by Passion
The Creative Stitching Center is a craftperson’s dream. Whether learning to sew, knit, crochet or embroider, our mission is to develop a love and appreciation for the art of creating.
The Center, located in Clinton, Maryland, is a place for sewing enthusiasts, imaginative quilters and creative minds alike to gather and share visions in a safe communal place. We offer classes from beginner to advanced needle work (sewing, embroidery, crochet, knitting, quilting, etc.
We pay homage to the past sewing circles where women gathered to not only learn from their elders, but socialize. With more than 50 years of combined experience, you will take pleasure and comfort in being a part of a community where you are among people of all ages, beliefs and ethnicities.

More than 50 years of sewing for fun. Ms. Brooks truly enjoys helping others reach their goals.
Michelle Simmons
FOUNDER & CEO
Being raised by her grandmother, who was a highly skilled seamstress and quilter, inspired Michelle’s passion for the art of sewing. Now, 40 years later, she is still passionate and spends as much time as she allows sewing. Ms. Simmons loves to learn new techniques from classes and YouTube University.
Leslie Brown
CO Founder
With more than 25 years of sewing experience, Ms. Brown enjoys the craft of sewing. Leslie mainly sews for her daughter (i.e., prom dress, costumes, and wedding dress); she sews for the love of sewing. Many crafty items include sewing bears for baby showers, receiving blankets, sports-themed stuffed animals, and simply sewing as a hobby. Crafting is her jam.
